![]() $2 for washers and $1.25 for dryers, two of each available. On several occasions we saw trash bags piled near cans and no can was available in the laundry room.įortunately, there is a laundry area available for guests. Room was a good size and the bed was quite comfortable! Two windows offer great lighting and room darkening shades were a nice touch for sleeping. One cup at a time kuerig coffee maker also in the room. There is a small refrigerator but no microwave. Bathroom vanity is adequate for primping space but lighting could be better. Shower is small, as in one person at a time. Indoor garage parking is available for a 10$ per day charge. The hotel is near the water (our room was considered waterfront) however we could only see water in the distance, over the rooftops between us and the ocean. I was able to get on in the lobby but it remained spotty in the room once joining. If you find yourself in this room or one of equal distance from the lobby (it was apparently the furthest) you will not be able to acquire wifi. My husband and I spent 2 nights here with our pup. Minor annoyance but it certainly didn't add to the experience.Īt this price, I'm sure there are much better hotels in the area that offer better customer service to make my stay more seamless and enjoyable. For what is considered an upscale hotel, I'm very disappointed.ĪC unit in the room was also unplugged. He clearly didn't want to hear it, nor did did he want to listen to what I had to say about my guest experience, and clearly just wanted me out of there. I'm in sales myself and customer service is a big part of my job - when customers give you feedback, please just listen, apologize, and try to make it right. He ended up saying "I apologize, have a nice day" while gesturing towards the exit. When checking out, I gave them the feedback that we had an unpleasant experience, and the same guy who answered the phone proceeded to try to give me a very complicated explanation on their policy and how their system works. He ended up agreeing to the 1230 time after much back and forth. The guy on the other end gave her a tough time and told her to checkout by 11, and the best he could do was 12. While I was out the morning of our check out, my girlfriend called in the morning around 11 for fresh towels so I could shower before departing. Upon check in, we confirmed a late check-out at 1230. There are good restaurants nearby as is a Von's grocery store. This hotel is less than half an hour from both the San Diego Zoo and the San Diego Safari Park, so it’s a perfect location to stay if you plan to visit both parks. Walking out from the hotel grounds just two blocks away is an access point for Sea Cliff Coastal Trail, a bluff top walking path. The hotel has a guest laundry with coin operated washers and dryers, which is very useful for longer stays. There is also a separate console containing a small cube refrigerator and a Keurig coffee maker on a pull out tray. The bathroom sink console had enough counter space and had additional space down below it to stash more things. There is plenty of space to put your stuff away and plenty of charging outlets, both on the night table and in a shelf within the large dresser. The room itself is extremely well designed. Nearby was a convenient large trash can so clean up from our picnics was easy. We got takeout and ate here several nights. In front of our room was a courtyard patio with picnic tables. There is a ceiling fan, and the large, west facing windows keep the room bright and cheerful during the day. It was very quiet even though we kept the windows open. Lovely well managed property! We stayed in the North Building, in room 507, a large double room with a shared balcony and a faraway peek at the ocean.
